About
TPO VFX is a boutique artist-led visual effects company, working directly for feature film and streaming studios. It was founded by Matt Tinsley and Jack Hughes who have 30 years of in-house, VFX facility and on-set visual effects expertise between them.
We can enhance the quality of editorial temps during shoot, turning them around quickly to enable the cut to be locked and turned over to facilities. Because we work on a daily rate, as opposed to a per shot rate, in post we can start to deliver finals whilst still continuing to develop the look of any of the larger VFX sequences before handing them over to facilities. We can utilise our own VFX server, which can slot straight into the VFX production’s server. All our approved artists have fibre connections, ensuring our remote working possibilities are seamless.
TPO started life as an in-house comp team known informally as “The Post Office” on Quantum of Solace. In 2017, we officially incorporated ourselves as TPO VFX. Understandably, Royal Mail weren’t so keen on us using their name. Their exact words… “Plagiarism is the highest form of flattery”. So TPO VFX we became.
